23 Bauverlagler successfully take part in the AOK company run!

The European Championships in Munich are a thing of the past, but sports fans didn't have to wait long for the next sporting highlight: the 5th AOK company run took place in Gütersloh on August 31, 2022. In two disciplines (short distance 2.5 km and long distance 5 km), a total of around 1,200 athletes from the entire Gütersloh district competed for their respective companies, 23 from Bauverlag. - 23 Bauverlag employees successfully took part in the AOK company run.

All departments, from marketing, editorial, human resources, sales to the entire management, were represented.

Under the motto #läuftbeiuns and wearing bright red T-shirts, eight runners from the publishing company gathered at the starting line in the first round and mastered the 2.5-kilometer run with flying colors. After just 14 minutes, Mario Fischer (Head of Layout) was the first Bauverlag employee to cross the finish line. The rest of the athletes didn't have to wait long either and crossed the finish line shortly after him.

The 5 km participants then competed in excellent weather and good spirits. Here, Mario Ahlers-Ullmann (Head of Video & New Business) won the internal construction publishing competition. He crossed the finish line after 24 minutes ahead of his colleagues to applause from the previous runners and the spectators.

"We are proud that we participated with so many colleagues. We had a lot of fun and all enjoyed the joint activity and the finish afterwards," reports Beate Lippke, Director People & Culture at Bauverlag.

A great success not only for the participating runners, but for the entire publishing house! Running for a good working atmosphere - true to the motto of the event, Bauverlag will of course be at the start again next year with full commitment and motivation. The goal is to double the number of participants from Bauverlag.
