Bauwelt Kongress on May 12+13, 2022, in Berlin

The Bauwelt Kongress 2022 looks ahead to the immediate future and discusses the 15-minute city with architects and construction officials, with investors and urban planners. How can infrastructure and architecture, open space interrelationships and circular city concepts, new home living and alternative mobility be consolidated in a way that eliminates any significant differences between town and country?
In the past 18 months, requirements in our cities have changed like never before. The car is disappearing from our streets. Work is moving from the office to the living room. Public space is transforming into a vacation resort.
The most drastic change is taking place inside the home: the personal home, including its architecture, needs to do much more than previously.
The term 15-minute city refers to an architectural and urban transformation that brings the key elements of day-to-day life back to local residential areas, where they are easy to access. Proximity and distance are reconsidered, and digitalization becomes the key to the reorganization of spaces. A sense of feeling at home, which was previously specific to the village, is also essential.
