Bauverlag presents the most important awards in the construction industry at digitalBAU!

On May 31 in Cologne, the award winners of the “Deutscher Baupreis 2022,” which honors performance in construction on the basis of scientific analysis, were named at the trade expo digitalBAU. The Deutscher Baupreis is awarded by Bauverlag BV GmbH, Gütersloh, under the patronage of the German Federal Ministry of Housing, Building, and Urban Development.

The award ceremony began with the guests being greeted by the CEO of Bauverlag, Michael Voss, and thanks being given to the numerous partners and supporters, without whose help this competition would not have been possible.

In a video message, the patron of the event, the German Federal Minister of Construction Klara Geywitz, then emphasized the construction industry’s importance for the economy and job creation. She said that it was therefore important to increase the visibility of the best companies in the industry, which develop innovative methods and do business sustainably and efficiently, and to award these companies.

In a brief talk, Prof. Manfred Helmus from the University of Wuppertal explained the basis for the scoring and the decision-making criteria of the only performance award for the German construction industry that is based on scientific analysis. Then TV presenter Marco Schreyl took the stage and presented the companies that were successful in their individual categories.
